Client and Family Advisory Council Mission

 

Charter/Mission Statement

 

Provide a user and community Forum which plays a catalytic role in improving the quality of life for the area's citizens with disabilities.

 

Operating Plan/Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish or strengthen a community awareness and sense of responsibility.
  • Review the needs of this segment of the population to identify gaps and develop programs.
  • Work to insure that multiply resource efforts are coordinated.
  • Analyze programs provided to identify strengths and weaknesses, improve efficiencies and eliminate waste.
  • Provide user inputs into policies and procedures and conduct audits.
  • Assist with planning efforts.
  • Assist with operational issues such as provider development, out sourcing and monitoring.
  • Provide services where appropriate.
  • Supply feedback to the general user community.
  • Participate in the development and the implementation of system reform.
  • Review and comment on service budget.
  • Work with the LME to insure adequate representation.
  • Play a role in client advocacy and participate in satisfaction surveys.
  • Participate in the development and management of required services.
